we are a group of guelph citizens who have been working and occasionally meeting together, on an informal basis, to raise awareness about a proposed water pipeline from lake erie to guelph. what we share is a desire to inform citizens of the problems with the proposed pipeline; to express our goals, we have adopted the slogan 'stop the pipeline'. we will help citizens to make their voices heard by keeping them up to date on the decision-making process at city council. we promote alternatives to the pipeline, because we believe that by combining water conservation and smart growth strategies, a sustainable, local water supply is possible.

in the interests of unity, we are strictly non-partisan. we neither neither endorse nor receive endorsements/support from any political party, municipal candidate, or corporation. we urge every citizen, group, club, candidate and political party to understand the magnitude of this issue and to support the right to local water resource protection, conservation and management by our public and accountable water management department. guelph has been long known for its wonderful water and the water management staff at the city of guelph have done a remarkable job on our behalf.
